Apex Hotels is among the UK's leading operators of recent town centre hostels. Based in Edinburgh, the company operates the peak Town and peak Global in Edinburgh's Grassmarket, as well as owning / operating the peak EU in Edinburgh's West End, the peak Waterloo Place Hotel in at the east end of Edinburgh's Princes Street, the peak Town Dock Hotel & Spa in Dundee, the peak Town of London Hotel and the peak London Wall Hotel. A 3rd London hotel is pencilled in at Church Court on Fleet Street, due to open in 2012.

History - Apex Hotels was established in 1996 with the opening of the peak World Hotel in Edinburgh's Grassmarket.A ten-month conversion of the previous Heriot-Watt College Mountbatten Building saw the hotel open in May 1996 with 120 rooms.
Originally launched as a budget three-star hotel, the peak World went thru a total renovation in early 1998 and changed into a four star property.An further 51 rooms were also added at this time.
Due to the successfulness of the first hotel, Apex Hotels secured a site in the Haymarket area of Edinburgh in Aug 1997 and converted an abandoned office building into the peak Western european , a 66 bedroom property.
The design, content and service culture of the peak Town has been drawn from and implemented across the whole brand.The company's first new-build property and its first hotel outside Edinburgh was the four star peak Town Harbour Hotel & Spa in Dundee. Opened in March 2003, the hotel was a significant development inside the rejuvenation of the city's waterfront area. Providing 153 rooms, meeting and event facilities for at least 450, a bar, eaterie, restaurant and a Spa with a pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room and Technogym.
In Nov 2005, Apex Hotels expanded its portfolio further with the opening of the peak Town of London Hotel, found between Tower Bridge and the BoE. The previous office building has been changed into a focus of the area, offering four star luxury. Continuing the up to date peak style, this is the corporation's first property situated outside Scotland.
In 2009 Apex Hotels added 2 new four star luxury hostels to the collection. The peak Waterloo Place Hotel is Apex's 4th hotel in Edinburgh, mixing the standard Georgian features of the significant building modern style. The 89 bedroom property is Apex Hotels ' 2nd London hotel.
