Posted on March 20, 2010I already have sky plus hd but now want to go multiroom - that's the question people keep asking me. How do I get the multiroom from sky, does it cost more? If so how much does it cost? Do I need another sky box? Can I upgrade to sky hd at the same time?
How much does it cost to upgrade from sky plus?
You can upgrade from sky plus to sky hd for an extra £10 per month. The £10 gets you the hd service with up to 50 hd channels. Depending on what you want to watch it will cost you more. Its your choice, you can have hd sports or hd movies they both cost more. You will need to select each pack or bundle you would like to view on the hd service. So to cut a long story short, you will need to pay £10 for the hd starter pack.
Does the hd pack come with a hd decoder box?
Yes, the sky+ hd box is now free. Even if you upgrade you existing sky package, or if you are a new customer you will get the box for free.
Can I add sky multiroom?
Yes, existing sky customers can upgrade to sky multiroom for just £10 more each month. You will only get one box from sky. So if you upgrade to hd, sky will give you a free hd box. You can then use the old box as your second box, you can use this in another room and watch anything you want on each box. One will be hd the other will be standard picture quality. You can watch different things on each box. So just to clarify you will be paying £20 in total, £10 for the hd service and £10 for the multiroom per month, its not a one off fee, you will be paying £20 per month, each month, every month.
